This high-profile case between the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the "Association of Private Enforcement Officers of Ukraine" revolved around the critical issue of protecting business reputation. The dispute arose from an article published by the Association, which alleged improper pressure on private enforcement officers through fabricated disciplinary complaints. The Ministry sought to challenge the publication, claiming reputational damage.
Our legal team, led by Tetiana Ognevyuk, mounted a robust defense grounded in incontrovertible evidence and strategic legal arguments. The Supreme Court upheld the Association’s position, declaring the Ministry’s claims unsubstantiated. This decisive ruling not only safeguarded the Association’s reputation but also reinforced principles of transparency and accountability within public governance.
In addition to the dismissal of the lawsuit, the Association successfully recovered full legal expenses from the Ministry, marking a significant triumph. The case serves as a pivotal example of the power of legal advocacy in defending fundamental rights.
Details of the case can be accessed in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions under Case №910/5504/21.
