AMBASSADORS at IP UKRAINE NOW 2025

The IP UKRAINE NOW 2025 Forum, organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association, emerged as a pivotal event for the intellectual property community this year. On this platform, experts, government officials, business leaders, and lawyers engaged in discussions about the future of intellectual property (IP) in Ukraine, covering topics from European integration and digitalization to court practices and the innovation economy.

As a General Partner of the Forum, AMBASSADORS is committed to promoting a modern, transparent, and innovation-driven intellectual property environment in Ukraine.

In her opening remarks, Tetiana Ohneviuk, a partner at AMBASSADORS and Deputy Chair of the UBA Committee on Intellectual Property, emphasized that innovation supported by strong intellectual property protection forms the foundation of national resilience and brings Ukraine closer to victory.

During the first session of the Forum, titled "Intellectual Property and European Integration: New Rules for Business and Innovation," Yaroslav Ognevyuk, Managing Partner and Head of IP Practice at AMBASSADORS, presented the firm’s analytical research, which included lessons from previous EU enlargements and their impact on IP systems, an analysis of integration processes in EU candidate countries, insights into EU IP trends towards 2030, and the potential benefits for businesses, the government, and the professional community. "To be competitive within the EU, we must look ahead, understand the trends, and begin building an IP system today that will meet tomorrow’s European standards," summarized Yaroslav Ognevyuk.

Among the speakers were the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, the Director and representatives of UKRNOIVI, the Deputy Minister of Economy for Digital Development, as well as various experts and business representatives who are collaboratively shaping the vision for the future IP system.

AMBASSADORS extends sincere gratitude to the Ukrainian Bar Association for organising an event that unites leaders in the IP field, and to all participants for their meaningful discussions and shared commitment to strengthening a competitive, future-oriented IP system in Ukraine.
