AMBASSADORS at IP UKRAINE NOW 2024

IP UKRAINE NOW 2024, one of the biggest and most important events in the field of intellectual property, organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA), brought together top experts, government officials, and business leaders. The forum highlighted the strength, resilience, and dedication of Ukraine’s intellectual property community, even in challenging times.

As the General Partner, AMBASSADORS proudly marked its first anniversary by contributing to this key event and demonstrating its commitment to strengthening the country’s intellectual property system.

The event opened with inspiring speeches from the organizers, including Tetiana Ohneviuk, Deputy Chair of the UBA Committee on Intellectual Property and Partner at AMBASSADORS. Tetiana warmly welcomed participants, emphasizing the strength of unity among professionals in the field who, despite the daily challenges of wartime, continue their joint efforts to advance Ukraine’s IP sector. “Our collective resilience and determination allow us to move forward and shape a dynamic future for intellectual property in Ukraine,” Tetiana noted.

In Session 1: "Restoring Ukraine and IP," moderated by Yaroslav Ognevyuk, Managing Partner at AMBASSADORS, participants discussed how intellectual property can help rebuild key sectors like defense and pharmaceuticals. The session focused on practical solutions, better policies, and updates to regulations that are essential for innovation and economic recovery. Yaroslav led the conversation with confidence, creating a space for productive and meaningful dialogue.

Later, in Session 3: "IP Justice: When Will We Achieve Efficiency?", Tetiana Ohneviuk spoke about the changes needed to improve IP protection in Ukraine. She explored how new court decisions affect legal strategies, how Ukrainian laws are being aligned with EU standards, and how businesses are dealing with new challenges. Her clear and thoughtful insights made the discussion both practical and engaging for everyone involved.

The forum was full of valuable presentations and lively discussions that showed the importance of working together to move Ukraine’s intellectual property sector forward. AMBASSADORS expressed its deep gratitude to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, whose bravery makes such events possible, and thanked the Ukrainian Bar Association for organizing this impactful platform. Special recognition was also given to the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO) for their dedication to improving transparency and supporting growth in the field.

Looking ahead, AMBASSADORS remains fully committed to helping Ukraine’s intellectual property sector grow stronger. By working together and focusing on real solutions, we can build a reliable foundation for protecting innovation and creativity in Ukraine. Together, we are shaping a bright future for intellectual property.
