Maryna Izhevska is a seasoned attorney specialising in intellectual property, with over a decade of experience assisting domestic and international clients in protecting and enforcing their IP rights.
Her practice spans the full lifecycle of IP asset management - from strategic filing and prosecution of trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, inventions and utility models, to handling objections, oppositions, and appeals before the Ukrainian IP Office and related authorities. Maryna is particularly known for her ability to navigate complex registrability challenges and deliver tailored solutions that reflect both commercial and legal priorities.
She also advises on cross-border registrations, IP rights transfers, licensing agreements, and enforcement mechanisms, including the inclusion of IP objects into the Customs Register to prevent the circulation of counterfeit goods.
One of her notable areas of expertise is advising on the legal use of Ukraine's official state symbols (including the country name, the “UA” code, and the Small Coat of Arms) within trade, a rare and highly regulated practice requiring specific governmental approval.
