AMBASSADORS at the ХІІІ-th Judicial Forum 2024 of Ukrainian Bar Association

AMBASSADORS actively participated in the 2024 Ukrainian Bar Association Judicial Forum, a flagship event in Ukraine’s legal sector that annually gathers leading lawyers, judges, policymakers, and judicial reform experts. This forum has established itself as a critical platform for addressing pressing issues in the judiciary, assessing the progress of reforms, and setting strategic objectives for the future of justice in Ukraine.

As a socially responsible partner of this year’s forum, AMBASSADORS contributed both expert insights and resource support. Special recognition goes to Tetiana Ohneviuk, our Dispute Resolution Partner and Chair of the Law Association "DOBROSUD," who delivered a compelling presentation on "Judicial Reform in Ukraine: A Year After the European Commission's Recommendations."

Tetiana’s extensive experience includes defending the rights of judicial candidates and judges involved in competitive selection processes. Over the years, she has actively supported candidates on a pro bono basis, representing them in the Supreme Court and advocating for ethical and transparent selection procedures. In her presentation, she addressed critical issues such as the evaluation of past misconduct by judicial candidates, inconsistencies in integrity standards applied by various commissions, the development and application of integrity indicators, and the influence of judicial practice on shaping these standards.

At AMBASSADORS, we remain committed to supporting judicial reforms that ensure professionalism, transparency, and fairness in the judicial system. Unified standards for assessing judicial integrity are a cornerstone for achieving these goals.
