State Symbols in Trademarks: Legal Restrictions and International Practice
State symbols enjoy a special legal status. Their use in the logos and trademarks of Ukrainian companies is a sensitive issue, particularly when it concerns marks containing elements such as the word "Ukraine," the letter codes "UA" or "UKR", or stylized state emblems. In such cases, legal regulation of using national symbols in trademarks becomes paramount.
